Here amidst a number of temples, shrines and other cemeteries, lie Russian soldiers - prisoners of war captured during the Russo-Japanese war (1905) who died in the prisoners' camp.

At that time they were considered not real enemies but rather "other side fighters" who fought for their own country; therefore, they were treated quite well, considering the circumstances. The local community and the students of the nearby hymnasium care about the graves, and there are always fresh flowers there.

At the edge of the cemetery, there is also a couple of WW2 graves (those of American military)
